Wake it up
1.5sTurns it on.
On, off, and the input monitor
Turns it on.
Shuts down. It will not power off while the tape rolls.
Silences incoming USB audio without stopping the recorder.
The everyday four buttons
Release and it is armed. Recording starts on the first sound.
Ends the take. That length becomes the loop.
Starts and stops the tape.
Jumps every track to the start of the loop.
Each fader is one track level. VOL sets the master.
Tap again to restore. Several buttons toggle together.
Records over that track. Tap again to finish.
Wipes the track. Deliberately awkward.
Sixteen songs, and how loops relate
Picks a bank. Tap again to step through its four songs.
Solid is the bank. Blinking is the song.
Fixed is multiples of the first loop. Variable keeps each length.
Keep holding past the loop-mode point. Length mode is untouched.
The rocker moves the whole tape
One speed step per click. Pitch follows. 0.25× to 1.5×.
Jumps a semitone instead of a raw step.
A continuous glide. The tape stop.
Back to normal speed and pitch.
Back is down, forward is up. Outside the range does nothing.
Play less of the loop
Up halves the window, down doubles it. Hold to keep stepping.
Moves the window through the loop. With a page open it steps pages.
F1 start, F2 end, F3 position, F4 size. They continue from what you hear.
Cross the start over the end and the window runs backwards.
Whole loop, forwards, no chop.
Back to the start of the loop, size kept.
Catch the beat that just passed
Stutters the beat that just passed. Down starts with two.
Up halves, down doubles. Hold to keep stepping.
Shifts what is stuttered by one window.
Drops or lifts the stutter an octave.
The same window handles, applied to the stutter.
Ends in time. Each track holds where it left off, on the bar.
Records the stutter into a free track.
Eight pages on the four faders
The faders become that page. Let go and it stays open.
Back to the mixer. Settings stay.
Walks forward or back through all eight.
Wah resonance, echo feedback, tremolo shape and spread, reverb damping.
The effect follows your taps instead of the grid.
Back to the grid rate.
Steps that lane through its options, then off.
What you record is printed with effects. One flash.
Input stays dry, loops get the effects. Two flashes.
Everything you hear is effected. Takes still record dry. Three flashes.
Defaults restored, EQ flat, routing back to both.
EQ, placement, timing, take format
One click for page 5, up to four for page 8.
100 Hz, 350 Hz, 1.6 kHz, 4 kHz. Centre is flat.
Down is left, up is right. Centre keeps the take balance.
Returns that track to the middle.
Slides where the “1” falls, up to half a beat.
OFF / 1 / 2 / 4 / 8. The next take stops itself.
Up is later, down is earlier. Slides one track against the rest.
Solid is mono, blinking is stereo. Existing audio is untouched.
Print what you hear to a free track
Records what you hear at the speed you hear it. Tap again to stop.
Records while held, then bakes it to play at 1×.
Sweep the tape or stutter while a print records.
Ends a bounce when a page is open.
Direction, focus, four playheads
That track plays backwards. Repeat to flip it forward.
Hear that track alone while held.
One loop, four heads at different points in it.
Give it a tempo
Sets the grid. Recording then starts and stops on the beat.
Snaps the tapped tempo to a whole number.
Back to free timing.
Undo, and the escape hatch
Resets placement, grid offset, take length and every nudge.
Four solid lights, ready to re-flash. The escape hatch.
No move uses that combination.
